Jacqueline Myers-Cho, a contemporary artist exploring figurative and textiles together.

“I approach my work with a face or figure in mind and a feeling. My job is to listen and hear what the work needs to say.” She loves to use reclaimed clothing and other items in her work. Since she has a background in Costume Design and sewing she adds fashion elements and different sewing techniques to her work creating different layers of texture and detail. Her main inspiration is Rei Kawakubo, “I need to see her work, to study her designs and to try and understand the root of the creation. She is amazing.”

She has received several awards and has been showing her work since late 1980s. Her artistic pursuit has taken her to many different places, one of which is the island of Maui. While there, she enjoyed the gallery scene being represented both in Lahaina and Kihei. Her works have been collected by fine art collectors from many countries and regions: the U.S., Japan, South Korea, Sweden, Australia, and Italy.

She now lives in Nevada with her husband.
